Conservatories are fantastic places to be during the spring and summer, but during the winter they can be pretty chilly and uncomfortable which often means they go unused.  The problem of course is all that glass…while it’s brilliant for letting in the sunlight in the summer months, glass is not a great insulator and so when the dark nights of winter draw in the glass doesn’t do a great job of keeping in the heat.
